Buy a firearm from a private individual
Private individuals or organizations that has received approval can buy a firearm from someone who has a valid license, and transfer ownership.

To transfer ownership of a firearm:
- prepare:
- a copy of the seller’s valid firearms license
- a bill of sale for private individuals – signed by both the buyer and seller at a licensing office or witnessed by a lawyer
and the buyer’s:
- conditional approval for a firearm license
- the license fee payment confirmation. Pay the license fee
- certificate of training at a licensed shooting range with the firearm
- email the documents to [email protected]

call the service center on * 8657 to book an appointment to transfer ownership at a licensing office
Licensing fee
ILS 60 per year, up to 3 years
Notes
- Include the amount of ammunition sold with the firearm on the bill of sale. If the seller doesn’t have ammunition, attach a bill of sale for ammunition from a gun shop.

- If you are buying a firearm deposited with the police, should check with the licensing office before you transfer ownership to make sure that the license is valid and there are no debts connected with the firearm.
