Renew a shooting instructor’s license

Conditions for renewing the license

• You can renew a shooting instructor’s license from three months before it expires until the expiration date.
• The license will only be renewed after paying the license fee and completing a professional training course.

How to renew the shooting instructor's license

1. Three months before the license expiry date, you will receive a text message or email reminding you to renew the license. Remember, renewal of the license is the responsibility of the license holder. You must complete the renewal process before your license expires.
2. Pay the license fee - NIS 61 per year or part of a year. You must print and keep the payment confirmation with the other required documents.
3. Print the license renewal forms and the following documents:
   • Health declaration 
   • Temporary license (becomes valid only after the renewal process is complete)
4. Send the following documents to the Firearm Licensing Department Service Center:
   • The health declaration mentioned above, signed by your doctor.
   • First aid qualification certificate.
5. You must register and participate in a theoretical training day. Details of registration will be published here before the renewal date.
6. Once the process has been completed, the permanent license will be sent to the postal address you gave. If you did not specify a postal address, the license will be sent to the address shown in the Population Register.

Notes

• The theoretical training day is intended solely for shooting instructors  with a valid license.
• Instructor licenses that are not renewed on time will expire.
• Instructors whose licenses have expired and who wish to renew the license, must pay for and complete training independently, with a senior instructor who is authorized to give courses and training and recognized by the Ministry of Public Security.
• Instructors who have not renewed their licenses for over three years cannot renew their shooting instructor’s license.
