Apply for a firearm license for organizations
Organizations can use this service to apply for a license to hold firearms.
- An organization interested in a firearm license for the security of the organization, employees and transportation, must apply to the Firearm Licensing Department in the Ministry of Public Security.
- The application must be submitted at one of the Firearm Licensing Offices, together with all the required documents as specified on the form.
- Important: You must schedule an appointment at the Licensing Office in advance, through the Firearm Licensing Department Service Center by calling *8657.
Important note: Firearms are dangerous. To ensure your safety and the safety of others, you are required to install a gun safe in your home to store the firearm. See the instructions on installing a home safe.
How to apply
- A locality that wishes to be recognized as a "qualifying locality" for the purchase of firearms or to renew an existing firearm license, must apply at the Firearm Licensing Office, together with all the required documents.
- Important: You must schedule an appointment at the Licensing Office in advance, through the Firearm Licensing Department Service Center by calling *8657.
What you need to apply for a license
- The fully completed, signed application form.
- A letter of appointment for special license holder or their deputy from the local authority.
- Three copies of a diagram of the firearms storage location.
- A list of residents recommended by the organization to carry a firearm (including full name, address and ID number).
- Health declarations of the license holder, deputy, and others designated to carry firearms in the locality.
- Approval from the Israel Police.
What you need to renew a license
- The fully completed application form signed by the license holder and their deputy after receipt of a recommendation from the Israel Police.
- A list of residents permitted to carry firearms in the locality.
- Confirmation of a firearm performance check by the firearm retailer or a shooting range, and of training at an approved shooting range.
- The ammunition inventory log, by caliber.
- Health declarations of the license holder, deputy, and others designated to carry weapons in the locality.
- An excel report of firearms storage arrangements.
- A sample from the certificate of authorization to carry/hold a firearm.
- A recommendation from the Ministry of Agriculture for an anesthetic rifle.
- A Normal Audit from the Firearm Licensing Department.
Service fee
NIS 61 per year or part of year for each firearm.

- All holders of firearms must undergo training at a shooting range before receiving the firearm from the organization.
- After receiving the license, the license holder must observe the instructions and procedures of the Ministry of Public Security and any other law.

What you need to apply for a license

- A list of people proposed to carry firearms in the factory.
- Proof that the factory meets one of the qualifying criteria of location or travel through dangerous areas, and the nature of the business.

What you need to renew a license
- The fully completed, application form signed by the license holder and their deputy after receipt of a recommendation from the Israel Police.
- A certificate from the Companies Registrar/confirmation that the company is a legal entity and the company details extract from the website.
- A list of employees permitted to carry firearms in the factory (full name, address and ID number).
- Confirmation of a firearm performance check by the firearm retailer or a shooting range, and of training at an approved shooting range.
- The ammunition inventory log, by caliber.
- Health declarations of the license holder, deputy, and others designated to carry weapons in the locality.
- An excel report of firearms storage arrangements.
- A sample from the certificate of authorization to carry/hold a firearm.
- A recommendation from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority (for an enterprise that eradicates agricultural damage only).
- A Normal Audit from the Firearm Licensing Department.

- The license holder must keep a digital record of details of all persons intended to hold firearms on behalf of the organization for auditing and approval purposes.
- All holders of firearms must undergo training at a shooting range before receiving the firearm from the organization.

- Three copies of a diagram of the firearms storage location.
- A company that has more than 20 firearms must attach a business license from the local authority.
- A license to provide security services and license for a paid security organizer granted by the Ministry of Justice.
- Approval from the Israel Police.
- Health declarations of the license holder, deputy, and others designated to carry firearms in the security company.
Note: The license holder, the deputy and others designated to carry firearms must pass a mental fitness check.
What you need to renew a license
- The fully completed application form signed by the license holder and their deputy after receipt of a recommendation from the Israel Police.
- A certificate from the Companies Registrar/confirmation that the company is a legal entity and the company details extract from the website.
- A valid security corporation/security services provider office license.
- A valid service contractor license from the Ministry of Economy.
- A security organizer license from the Ministry of Justice, pursuant to section 19 of the Law for a Special License Holder and their Deputy.
- A business license from the local authority pursuant to item 9.1a, valid for the year in question (for a company with 20 or more firearms).
- Confirmation of a firearm performance check by the firearm retailer or a shooting range.
- A list of sites where the company provides armed security services.
- The ammunition inventory log, by caliber.
- Health declarations of the license holder, deputy, and others designated to carry firearms in the security company.
- A sample from the certificate of authorization to carry/hold a firearm.
- A Normal Audit from the Firearm Licensing Department.

Notes
- Employees carrying out armed security in a security company must have a valid organizational firearm license.
- The transmission of firearms requires that the candidates be assigned to the security company that employs them.
- After receiving the license, the license holder must observe the instructions and procedures of the Ministry of Public Security and any other law.
How to apply
- An organization that wishes to purchase firearms must submit an application at the Firearm Licensing Office, together with approval from the Israel Police and confirmation of the transactions for the purchased firearms.
- Important: You must schedule an appointment at the Licensing Office in advance, through the Firearm Licensing Division Service Center by calling *8657.
Important note
An organization that wishes to hold a military firearm, must obtain approval from the Israel Police Equipment Committee.
Service fee
NIS 177 per year or part of a year for each firearm.
How to apply
- An organization that wishes to obtain approval from the Ministry of Public Security for persons whom due to their job must carry a weapon or deal with firearms (manufacturers, dealers and shooting range staff) must submit an application at the Firearm Licensing Office in its local region, together with the required documents.
- Holders of a special license on behalf of an organization must submit the application through the Firearm Licensing Department Service Center , carefully noting the details of all applicants for approval, with their signatures.

- Please note: The entire process must be completed at one office only, in the region to which the organization belongs.
