Request permission to work during National-Civic Service
Use this service to register for national-civic service and complete the volunteer preferences questionnaire.
Who can receive permission to work
- Volunteers in the first year of service will can't study and work simultaneously.
- Permission to work will only be granted if it does not prevent volunteers from fulfilling their national-civic service obligations.
- The volunteers socio-economic status must justify the need to work.
- Volunteers in their first year can receive work permits of up to 12 hours a week.
- Volunteers in their second year can receive work permits of up to 20 hours a week.
- Work permits are granted on the condition that the nature of the work and work place is suitable for volunteers, according to the authority's procedures.
- Work permits cannot be granted for work at the place of service.
This service is free of charge.
How to apply
- Download and print the Request to work during National-Civic Service form.
- Fill in the form and submit it to your coordinator in your recognized place of volunteering.
Notes
- If the your request is rejected, you can submit your request to the Director General of the National Civil Service Authority for further review.
- If the number of work hours you are requesting is more than permitted hours (stated above), the place where you are volunteering can make a written request, together with all the documents to the Director General of the authority for consideration, on the merits of the request and the volunteers socio-economic status.
- Work permits are valid until the end of the service period, or until the volunteer changes place of volunteering or volunteer operating organization.
- This service and forms are provided in Hebrew. If you don’t speak Hebrew seeking assistance from a Hebrew speaker is recommended.
