Request a Certificate of Israeli Citizenship
Israeli citizens can use this service to request a Certificate of Israeli Citizenship.
Who can apply
Israeli citizens over 18 years old:
- You can apply for yourself or for a first degree relative - your child, parent, sibling or spouse.
- You can apply for any adult or child, if you have been granted notarized power-of-attorney by the adult, or by the child's parent or legal guardian.
- You can apply for a deceased's relative's certificate if you are a first degree relative, or a second degree relative, if no first degree relatives exist.
- You can apply for a deceased's certificate, if you are a legal inheritor specified in an Inheritance order, on submission of the inheritance order.
- You can apply for any adult or child if you have a court order.
What you need
- If you are applying in Israel you must bring your ID card.
- If you are applying in an Israeli mission abroad, you must bring your Israeli passport.
- If you are applying for someone who is not a first degree relative you must also bring one of the following, depending on the circumstances:
- A notarized power-of-attorney to act on that person's behalf.
- An Inheritance order.
- A court ruling.
Optional information included on the certificate
The following are options are available:
- You can request a certificate in Hebrew, or in Hebrew and English.
- You can request to include the date your citizenship was granted, on the certificate.
- You can choose to include the date and type of citizenship acquisition route or a not to include these details.

How to apply
Print and complete the Certificate of Israeli citizenship request form and submit it in person at a Population and immigration office or an Israel mission in your country, together with the required documents.
This service does not require scheduling an appointment with the Population and Immigration offices.
