Apply to be naturalized for permanent residents who are married to Israeli citizens
Permanent residents who are married to Israeli citizens can use this service to apply to be naturalized. You need to be in Israel to apply.
Who can apply
- You must be a permanent resident with a valid permanent residence permit.
- You must be married to an Israeli citizen.
- You and your spouse must share a household.
- You must have settled in Israel.
- You must be in Israel to apply.
What you need
- Your ID.
- Your foreign passport or Israeli travel document.
- Evidence of Center of Life in Israel, such as:
- A home purchase contract or rental contract, signed by both the tenant and the landlord.
- Bank account printouts in your name related to the residential apartment (if the apartment is rented and there are no accounts in the name of the applicant and maintenance expenses are paid directly to the landlord, photocopy of cleared checks and bank statements regarding those payments).
- Confirmation of membership in Kupat Holim including the date of registration.
- Confirmation from the National Insurance Institute of receipt of benefits, including the first date and bank account printouts, showing the receipt of the benefits.
- Pay slips of the applicant and of a spouse and / or approvals regarding the place of work, including the date of commencement of the transaction.
- Confirmation from the local council of residence in the area of the including the start date - signed by the head of the council.
- If you have children:
- Certificates from the school or other educational institution and confirmation from the children's school.
- Your children's vaccination booklets.
- Any other relevant evidence that will prove that the center of your life is in Israel.
Additional documents may be requested if necessary.

195 NIS

How to apply
- Download, print and fill in the Application for Naturalization form.
- Apply in person, together with the required documents at your local Population and Immigration Authority office. When making the application you will be required to complete and submit the relevant declarations.
