Apply for a security services office licence
Use this service to apply for a security services office licence.
The private investigators and security services licensing committee will check if there are criminal investigations or proceedings against the applicants

- A copy of the applicants ID and appendix.
- Receipt of payment.
Successful applicants will receive a security services office licence fee payment voucher. You will need to pay on receiving the licence.

This services and forms are provided in Hebrew. If you don't speak Hebrew, seeking assistance from a Hebrew speaker is recommended.
- After your application is processed the licensing committee will make a criminal background check and evaluate your application to decide whether to grant the licence.
- If the committee is considering to deny the application they will invite the owners and managers to a hearing to hear their reasons and be given the opportunity to respond.
- If the application is granted, the corporation must buy third party insurance in the sum 4 million NIS and professional responsibility in the sum of 2 million NIS. You will be notified and sent a licence fee payment voucher.
- After buying the insurance you must send the committee the insurance coverage confirmation.
- If the corporation does not intend on using firearms, they can update the licensing committee and request to reduce the insurance by half. You can update the committee in writing by email, post or fax (see above).
- Once the committee has received the insurance coverage confirmation you will be sent a payment voucher.
- Your licence will become valid once you have paid the licence fee.
- The application handling time is approximately one month.
- If your licence application is denied, you can appeal the committee’s decision at a magistrate court.
