Apply for a stay permit for children and grandchildren of Righteous Among the Nations
If your parent or grandparent is a Righteous Among the Nations, you can use this service to apply for a stay permit.
Who can apply
- You can apply if your parent or grandparent is recognized as Righteous Among the Nations.
- You must be legally able to enter and stay in Israel.
What you need
- Confirmation form ‘Yad Vashem’ World Holocaust Remembrance Center that your parent or grandparent is a Righteous Among the Nations.
- A passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay.
- An original Letter of Good Standing Police background check (Teudat Yosher) from the authorities in your country of origin certifying that you have no criminal background, certified with an apostille stamp. If it does not have an apostille stamp, contact an Israeli mission in the country in which it was issued for instructions. A passport valid for at least six months beyond the permit expiration date.
- Two current color passport photos, on a plain, light background, sized 3.5cm x 4.5cm. Photos printed on low quality paper or on home printers, or photos of you in uniform will not be accepted.
- Additional documents may be requested if necessary.

How to apply
- Download, print and fill in the Application for the Extension of Permit of Residence/Change of Visa Category form.
- Apply in person, together with the required documents at your local Population and Immigration Authority office.
