Invite volunteers and extend their stay permit
Organizations engaged in welfare or health, religious institutes, kibbutzes, cooperative settlements (Moshavim), philanthropic institutes, and the IDF can use this service to invite foreign volunteers or extend their stay permit.

What you need
- A current passport photo of the volunteers passport, valid for 6 months beyond the intended stay period.
- A letter of commitment from the inviting body stating that they are responsible for the volunteer’s departure from Israel at the end of the permit period.
- A doctor’s medical health report stating that the volunteer is healthy.
- A commitment that the volunteer will have health insurance during their stay.
- An original Letter of Good Standing (police criminal record check) document from the country of origin - it must be translated by a notary to Hebrew (unless it is in Arabic or English) and must be officially authenticated:
- If the certificate was issued by a government body or other official body in countries who are members of The Hague convention it must have an apostille stamp.
- For certificates without an apostille stamp, contact the nearest Israeli mission in the country where the certificate was issued for instructions.
- If more than 5 volunteers are being invited together, you must submit a list of volunteers including the following details for each volunteer:
- Passport number.
- Passport expiration date.
- Full name.
- Date of birth.
- Nationality.
- Date of arrival.
- Father’s name.
- Previous visits to Israel.
- A letter of invitation from the inviting body for each invited volunteer.

- You need to pay for each service individually, and not as part of a payment basket.
- You can only pay with a credit card owned by an Israeli citizen or resident.
How to apply
- Download, print and fill in the Application for the extension of permit of residence/change of visa category form.
- Submit the application together with the required documents in person to your local Population and Information office or your local Israeli mission.
