Apply for an entry visa for students or yeshiva pupils
Foreign students coming to Israel to study in higher education institutes or yeshivas, can use this service to apply for a student visa.
Who can apply
You can apply if you are a student or yeshiva student and not an Israeli resident.
What you need
- A letter of admission from the education institute or yeshiva.
- Confirmation that you have paid tuition fee payment.
- Proof of means of living.
- A valid passport for the entire visa period.
- A current photo.
- If you are extending an existing visa for an another year you must submit your grades sheet.
- Original birth certificat.

- You need to pay for each service individually, and not as part of a payment basket.
- You can only pay with a credit card owned by an Israeli citizen or resident.
How to apply
Download, print and complete the Visa application form and submit it, together with the required documents in person to your local Population and Immigration office or your local Israeli mission.
You can pay when making the application, in cash or by credit card.
Notes
- You will receive a temporary stay permit type A/2.
- You can receive a visa for up to a year. You will receive an entry permit for the duration of the visa.
