Apply online for a permit or license to import rail equipment and goods
Use this service to apply online for a permit or license to import equipment for trains (rail goods) from the Competent Authority for the Import of Rail Goods.
Who is this service for
Use this service if you are an importer, contractor or person engaged in the operation, development, procurement or maintenance of railway equipment and goods.
What you need
Prepare the details and documents:
- importer details
- details of the goods (equipment)
- supplier quality certificate
- purchase order
You may later be required to submit additional documents.
How to apply
- Complete the online application form (Heb)
- Attach the required documents
- Submit the form online
Within 14 days you’ll receive either:
- confirmation that your application has been approved
- a request to submit more documents
Notes
- You cannot transfer a permit or license to someone else
- A permit or license does not release you from any legal requirement regarding the specified equipment and goods that you are importing.
- The equipment and goods must be imported in accordance with the license. If you import the equipment in any way that is not in accordance with the license, your license will be void and the goods can be confiscated.
- Failure to comply with all the details of the permit and its terms constitutes a violation of applicable law and will apply to the provisions of the law and procedures regarding non-compliance with the import legality.
