Private individuals can use this service to make an official power of attorney document. You can use this to give power of attorney to someone to transfer ownership of a vehicle on your behalf, and make other changes regarding your vehicle in the Vehicles Registry.

You need in clude in the power of attorney document:
- the vehicle license number
- your full name and ID number
- the full name and ID number of the person you are giving your power of attorney
How to make the power of attorney document

If you are transferring ownership of a vehicle at a licensing bureau, you can write your own power of attorney document.
- A power of attorney form is also attached to the vehicle license renewal form, and you can find them at any post office.
- For vehicles owned by companies or corportions, the power of attorney document must be signed by a lawyer.
How to use the power of attorney document
The person making the changes on your behalf must have:
- the signed power of attorney document with them to make the changes to the vehicle registration.
- IDs of the power of attorney, current owner and buyer (if relevant)
- the vehicle’s license
You can make most changes to a vehicle registration at any post office branch that is linked to the licensing office computers.

When the changes have been made, the power of attorney document will be returned to you.
Your power of attorney is responsible for all actions carried out based on the power of attorney form that you have given them.
When do you need to go to a licensing office (not a post office)
You need to go to a licensing office, and not a post office, for transfer of ownership:
- to someone who is disabled
- to a minor
- of diplomatic vehicles, and vehicles belonging to the United Nations and international organizations
- of a guide and tourism vehicle
- to tourists
- to estate managers, liquidators, transfer by court order, judicial decisions, asset receipts
