Apply for status in Israel for children born in Israel to an Israeli father and a mother who is a foreign national
Parents of a newborn up to 3 months of age, can use this service apply for status and visas for their child, if the father is an Israeli citizen and the mother is a foreign national.
Who can apply
Both parents must apply together - The father must be an Israeli citizen and the mother must be a foreign national.
What you need
- The father's ID card and appendix.
- The mother's valid passport.
- The mother's entry visa used to enter Israel.
- You may be asked to provide additional documents (according to procedure 5.2.0004).
The service is free of charge.
How to apply
Both parents must apply in person, together with the required documents, at a Population and Immigration Authority office.
Notes
- We recommend contacting your country's embassy or consul to find out what the implications of receiving Israeli citizenship are.
- Children of applicants are automatically included in the application, unless the other parent is not applying and objects to the naturalization of their children, unless the applying parent holds sole custody.
- Naturalization is granted at the discretion of the Minister of Interior.
