Israeli citizens living abroad can use this service to register a new last name due to marriage, divorce, or widowhood.
What you need
- Your Israeli ID card or passport.
- If you are changing your last name after marriage, you must bring an original, authenticated marriage certificate.
Service fee
The first application to change a last name is free of charge. You will have to pay a fee for additional changes of name.
How to Apply
- Fill out the application for a surname change by hand and sign it.
- Submit the application in person, together with the required documents, at your local Israeli mission.
