What is a stay of exit order

A stay of exit order is an official order made by a court or the execution office that prevents a person leaving the country. 

Who can check

• You can check online if there is a stay of exit order against you.
• You can check for yourself and your children by phone.
• You cannot check for anyone else - only yourself and your children.

What you need

• Your ID number
• By phone you also need the following for yourself or your children:
  • passport number
  • passport issue date
  • date of birth

How to check

Online 

1. Go to GovID (you need to register if this is your first time)
2. Enter your ID number and password
3. Enter the verification number you receive to your phone
4. You will see if there is an exit of stay order against you

Telephone

1. Call the National Service Center on *3450 
2. Ask to check if there is a stay of exit order against you or your children
3. Provide you or your child's passport number, passport issue date and date of birth

Notes

• To cancel a stay of exit order, contact the body that issued the order for details. 
• If you need to travel urgently and you have cancelled a stay of exit order, you can submit the original cancellation of the stay exit order to the National Information and Service Center or at the border crossing inspection at Ben Gurion Airport. Only original documents will be accepted.
