Report the sale of property under section 91 of the Income Tax Ordinance - Form 1399
Use this service to report the sale of property that is subject to reporting under section 91 of the Income Tax Ordinance.
Who needs to report the sale of property
Shareholders who have sold their shares or business owners who have sold machinery or equipment from the business must report the sale to the Tax Authority
There are other assets that need to be reported, listed in section 88 of the Income Tax Ordinance. For example:
- options, real estate outside of Israel, virtual currencies.
- You must also report the sale of the property if you have sold at a loss
How to submit the report
Individuals
- Print the report form for individuals reporting the sale of a property under section 91 of the Income Tax Ordinance
- complete the details of the transaction
- sign the form
- submit it to one of the income tax offices within 30 days from the date of sale of the property
Companies
- Print the report form for companies reporting the sale of a property under section 91 of the Income Tax Ordinance
- complete the details of the transaction
- sign the form
- submit it to one of the income tax offices within 30 days from the date of sale of the property
Notes
- You must pay capital gains tax in parallel to submitting the report
- This report also serves as an appendix to the annual report for an individual (1301).
- If you submit your annual report online you’ll need to complete the report of sale of the property as part of your annual report (in addition to the paper form)
- You must also report the sale of the property if you have sold at a loss
- You must submit an individual report for each sale of each property.
