Apply for permission to board flights for foreign nationals
During the coronavirus period of restrictions on travel, foreign nationals who need to leave the country for a short period, or need to return to Israel, can apply online for a permit to board flights.
You need to apply 7 working days before the flight date.
You don’t need the boarding pass if:
- you’re a permanent resident
- or you’re foreign national with a valid A1, A2, A3, A4 or A5 visa
- or you hold a B1 or B4 visa with a valid inter-visa permit
and
- you’re returning from the United States, Canada, Europe (except for Bulgaria), Egypt and Jordan
Foreign nationals holding a valid A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, B1, B4 who stayed in a country with a high-risk of corona disease are requested to present a permission to board a flight.
Who can apply
Foreign nationals (except foreign workers in the agriculture, nursing and construction industries), who hold a valid stay permit.
How to apply
Complete and submit the online application, attaching copies of your:
- passport photo
- Israeli residence permit
The service is provided at no cost
What happens next
- You’ll get a confirmation email
- You’ll receive a response to your application within 7 working days
- If the approved, you’ll be emailed a boarding pass
- Your flight permit will be valid for up to 45 days, depending on the date of return to Israel, from the date of issue
- The permit is for a single trip
