Submitting a Request for Prevention of Threatening Harassment
This service allows to submit a request for a court order to prevent the continuation of the harassment.
Who is the service intended for?
- This service is intended for anyone who has been harmed or feels threatened by threatening behavior.
- It is advisable to submit the request as soon as possible after the threatening event.
You have the right to receive protection in court. For details on how to exercise this right and the protections available, please refer to the relevant information (Hebrew).
Required Documents for the Service
Complete the entire application form, including the affidavit, which must be signed before an authorized signatory at the court.
Bring a valid ID card or passport.
Attach any documents that may support the claims of the applicant, such as: a police complaint, medical report, photos, etc.

The service is provided free of charge
Ways to Receive the Service
- The service can only be received by physically visiting the Magistrate Court, Family Court, or Juvenile Court (depending on the reason for the request), closest to the applicant's place of residence, or the location where they are currently located – for appointment scheduling.
- To Submit a Request During Non-Court Reception Hours:
- Until 17:00, please contact the Judicial Authority’s Information and Service Center.
- After 17:00, please contact the On-Call Center.
- Legal Assistance
- You can receive initial legal assistance and urgent legal representation if you meet the eligibility criteria. You may approach the legal aid stations for this.
- For technical, non-legal assistance in filling out the form, you can approach the volunteer stations at the courts.
What Happens After Submitting the Request
- After filling out the request details and attaching the required documents at the court's reception desk, the applicants will receive a "received" stamp and submission confirmation.
- The court's secretariat will forward the request to a judge who may issue a restraining order in a one-sided hearing, if they believe it is necessary for immediate protection of the applicant's safety or if the person against whom the request was filed was properly notified but did not appear for the hearing.
- If a restraining order is issued in a one-sided hearing, a hearing with both parties will take place as soon as possible, no later than 7 days from the date of the order.
- Once the case is opened, it will be possible to track its progress and submit additional requests and documents through the Net HaMishpat website.
- Request for Extension of the Order’s Validity – must be submitted up to 7 days before the order expires.
