Application for a 48-Hour Temporary Vehicle License

• Vehicle owners whose license has expired and who need to undergo a vehicle inspection.
  • There is no need to attach documents.
• Personal importers of a vehicle, who are required to undergo standards approval and a vehicle inspection.
  • Photo of a customs declaration document or a photo of an import declaration document.
• Israeli vehicle manufacturers (body builders) who are required to undergo a vehicle inspection.
  • Photo of the manufacturer license.
  • Photo of the bill of sale.

You must fill in an application for temporary vehicle license, attach the required documents and send digitally.

Written proof of application submission will be sent to you by email as a PDF file.

• Approval of the application
  • The temporary license fee, payable at Israel Post will be sent to you by email.
• Rejection of the application
  • Should the application be rejected, you will receive notice of rejection by email.

• MAX Application, the payment and viewing of the transaction will be done after you identify yourself with the credit company.

In the Ministry of Transport website using a credit card. The payment is immediately registered in the Ministry of Transport’s payments system.

• Through a bank transfer.
• The payment will be updated immediately and the license will be sent to the email address provided in the application.
• You must now pay the temporary license fee at the Israel Postal Company branches only.
• Prior to driving the vehicle to do the vehicle inspection, you must pay the vehicle license renewal fee.
• After payment has been made, you must take the vehicle to one of the Certified Licensing Garages and undergo the vehicle inspection.

• The temporary license will remain valid only with a valid Insurance Certificate and after payment of the temporary license fee.
• The temporary vehicle license will remain valid for 48 hours only.
• After payment has been made, you must take the vehicle to one of the Certified Licensing Garages and undergo the vehicle inspection.
• For the vehicle inspection, you must arrive with the paid license in your possession, or with a printout of the paid license, which is received after the payment process. You can also arrive with the unpaid Demand for Payment, after having made the payment. Please note, it is not possible to print the vehicle license at the certified licensing garage.
