Submitting a General Application in a Case Pending at Court
This service enables the submission of a general application to the Court, allowing you to include all details required for the Court to issue a ruling.
- Any person not represented by an attorney
- Parties to a court case, or witnesses, or individuals who are not parties to the case
All documents supporting the application must be attached, such as: an affidavit (may be signed at any court secretariat involving a court fee or before an attorney), photographs, receipts, and others
The service is provided at no cost, except in proceedings before the Family Courts, where a fee must be paid for the application
- Print the General Application Form in a Case and fill it out
- Specify the contact details of the applicants, including a mailing address, so that they may be notified of the ruling once issued.
- Attach supporting documents and submit in one of the following ways:
Online
- Access to the website is possible only from a computer; it is not adapted for mobile browsing
- Login is available using a smart card or through the National Identification System- a user guide for the National Identification System
The application may be submitted in one of two ways:
From inside the file- through the "Submissions" button
- Locate and enter the case file.
- Click the “Submissions” button.
- Select “New Application.”
- Select the application category and application type.
- At this stage, you may attach the application file using the “Attach Document” button, and attach additional files using the “Attach Appendix” button.
- After uploading the file, click “Next” and follow the submission process until a confirmation number (reference number) is received for tracking.
Outside the file — via the “Quick Submission” tab
- Select from the list the court in which the case is being heard
- Merge the application and attached documents into a single PDF file, not exceeding 30 MB.
- Ensure that the case number for which the application is submitted is clearly written on the attached document.
- Enter an email address, check the box indicating agreement to the submission terms, and click “Confirm.”
By fax or registered mail
You may send the application to the relevant court secretariat
In person at a court
Filing in person: the application may be filed in person during working hours at the relevant court secretariat
District submission: the application may be filed at any court within the district, according to that specified on the table, regardless of where the case is being heard, in all types of cases for which the service exists in the district
Booking an appointment at the court secretariat online: in some courts, it is possible to schedule an appointment to file the application at the public service desk of the court secretariat
- The application is forwarded to a judge for a judicial ruling.
- Once a ruling is issued, it will be sent to the applicants by ordinary or registered mail, or by telephone — depending on urgency and instructions.
- The status of processing of the application may be checked in the Net HaMishpat System, accessed through the National Identification System or via a smart card.
- Access must be made from a computer only; the system is not adapted for mobile browsing.

At the end of submission, a confirmation number is issued, which enables tracking of receipt of the application, in two ways:
In the Personal Area
- Under the “Track My Submissions” tab, recent submissions, their confirmation numbers, and their processing status may be viewed
- The status of processing of the application must be checked
- This may be done after the end of the business day following submission.
On the top menu bar under the “Submissions” tab
- Clicking the tab opens a window in which “Find Submissions by Reference Number” must be selected.
- Enter the confirmation number (reference number) in the designated field and click “Find” at the bottom left of the page. The processing status will be displayed
- The status must be checked after the end of the business day following submission
- After the end of the business day following submission of the application, the Courts Administration Information and Service Center may be contacted to confirm receipt of the fax
- Thereafter, the status of processing of the application may be tracked through Net HaMishpat, according to the instructions provided above for submission via Net HaMishpat.
- Track the arrival of the mail to the court and wait until the end of the business day following its arrival for the application to be recorded
- Thereafter, progress of processing the application may be tracked through Net HaMishpat as follows:
- If an email address has been updated in the application, update notifications from the court will be received there
- To read the notifications, click the link in the message, which will direct you to Net HaMishpat
- Login must be performed through the National Identification System. Next to the identification number, an envelope icon will appear; clicking it opens notifications from the court. In this manner, the court will notify when the application is recorded.
- Another way to check whether the application was recorded on the Net HaMishpat website after logging in through the National Identification System:
- Click “Find Cases” tab and select “My Cases,” choose a date range for the search
- A list will be displayed from which the relevant case may be selected. Then click the case number to review it and check whether a judicial ruling has been rendered.
- Upon completion of submission, confirmation of receipt of the application will be issued. judicial ruling in the case must be awaited
- It is possible to check whether a judicial ruling has been rendered via the Net HaMishpat website, accessed through the National Identification System or a smart card. On the top menu bar, enter the case number, click “Find,” and the case may be viewed
- If the case number is forgotten or unknown, click the “Find Cases" tab select “My Cases,” enter a date range, and a list of cases will appear, from which the correct case may be selected.
- After entering the case, folders will appear on the right side. Enter the “Paper File” folder, which contains all documents in the case, including judicial rulings.
