Application for Approval of an Agreement Between Spouses (Divorce or Financial)
This service enables spouses who wish to obtain the Court’s approval of a divorce agreement or a financial agreement signed between them to file an application for approval.

- A completed “Statement of Details” form with the required information (the form is also called Form 3, and its wording is fixed in the First Addendum to the Family Court Regulations (Legal Procedures). If the Form was attached to the principal application, there is no need to submit it again.
- If the parties are represented by attorneys – a duly signed power of attorney.

- A new application (the parties do not have additional legal proceedings being held in this matter):
- The application should be filed with the Court whose jurisdiction includes the spouses’ joint place of residence. If they do not have a joint place of residence – their last joint place of residence in Israel, provided that one of the parties still resides in that residence.
- If both parties no longer reside in the last joint place of residence, the application should be submitted to the Court located in the judicial district where the applicant resides.
- If the place of residence is in the Judea and Samaria area or the Gaza Strip: to the Court closest to the applicant's place of residence.
- When other proceedings are held between the parties concerning the matter: The application should be filed with the Court that heard the previous proceedings.

- Only attorneys may file the application through the Net HaMishpat website.
- Before logging in, it is recommended to prepare all documents scanned as PDF files only. Each uploaded file may be up to 30 MB at most.
- Access must be from a computer; the site is not adapted for use from a mobile phone.
- Login is through the National Identification System or via a smart card.
- After logging in, ensure you are identified as an attorney – on the top left, your attorney license number should appear, rather than your personal ID number.
- If the personal ID number appears, you may change this by clicking the small arrow next to the number.
- If the arrow does not appear and you cannot choose your attorney license number, you are probably not registered as an attorney in the Net HaMishpat database. To register in the database, complete the online registration form by entering the Net HaMishpat website and clicking the lower link in the center of the page – “Add a new attorney to the Net HaMishpat website.”
- To file the application:
- Click the “Open Case” button
- Select Court, case type, and other fields
- Mark V in power-of-attorney
- If you wish to pay by bank account debit authorization rather than credit card, select that at the stage of marking V for the power of attorney. Otherwise, it will not be possible to select it later. To choose this option:
- Click the “Attorney Details” button
- Go to the Bank Account tab and verify the details of the account to be charged.
- Enter the bank account details and click the "Verify Data" button.
- The bank account details must match the account details registered in Net HaMishpat for the firm.
- If the account details do not match, update them in Net HaMishpat, for an explanation of how to do this.
If you wish to pay by credit card or you are exempt from payment of court fees, you do not need to click the “Attorney Details” button.
Attaching appendices to the application:
Additional documents may be uploaded through the designated “View” button under the heading “Attachment of Accompanying Documents”
- The documents may be in PDF format only. Each uploaded file must not exceed 30 MB
- The application may be filed at the public service desk of the Family Court Secretariat, according to local jurisdiction – for scheduling an appointment
- District filing -The application may also be filed at any public service desk of the Magistrates’ Courts Secretariat within the relevant district in which there is a Family Court.
The application may be filed with the Family Court by registered mail according to local jurisdiction, as specified in the previous section – arriving at the Court in person.
Fees:
- It is required to pay a fee as detailed in the Fees section on this page.
- It is required that the receipt be attached to the application
An application filed without a receipt for the exact amount will be rejected.

It is not possible to file the application by fax.
- Initiation of these proceedings requires payment of a court fee.
- The amount of the fee is set in the Family Court Regulations (Fees), 5776-1995, and is updated twice a year, in July and January.
- Application filed at the Court Secretariat - Payment may be made:
- By credit card at the Court Secretariat
- In cash at the post office — using a payment voucher issued at the Court Secretariat.
- For details regarding the means of payment in the Courts System.
- An application filed through the Net HaMishpat website - Payment of the fee should be made by a credit card through the website
- After the application is filed, it is transferred to be given a judicial ruling.
- You may check the status of processing of the application in the Net HaMishpat System, which you may access through the National Identification System or via a smart card.
- You may connect to the website from a computer only; the site is not adapted for browsing from a mobile phone.

At the conclusion of submitting the application, a confirmation number will be issued, through which it is possible to track the opening of the case and obtain the case number, in two ways:
- Lawyers’ Area:
- Under the tab “Tracking My Submissions”, it is possible to view recent submissions, their confirmation numbers, and their processing status.
- The status of the application should be checked.
- This can be done after the end of the business day following the submission of the application.
- Top menu bar – “Submissions” tab:
- Clicking the tab will open a window in which “Search Submissions by Reference” should be selected.
- Enter the confirmation number (reference number) in the designated field and click the “Search” button at the bottom left of the page.
- The processing status of the submission will be displayed.
- The status of the application should be checked; this can be done after the end of the business day following the submission of the application.
- After the case is opened, the case number will appear.
- Using the case number, the case file can be reviewed by clicking on the number.
- After entering the case, the folders within the case will appear on the right-hand side.
- Upon submission of the application, the case will be opened.
- The court may send requests for the completion of documents, and if such documents are not submitted within the time period specified in those requests, the case will be closed.
- Therefore, it is highly recommended to regularly check the status of the application.
- At the conclusion of the submission, a case number will be issued. It is necessary to wait for a judicial decision in the case.
- You can check whether a judicial decision has been issued in the case via the Net HaMishpat website, which must be accessed using the national identification system or a smart card.
- In the top menu bar of the website, enter the case number, click the “Search” button, and then it will be possible to review the case file.
- If the case number has been forgotten or is unknown, click the “Case Search” tab and then select “My Cases”. Enter a date range, and a list of cases will be displayed, from which the relevant case should be selected.
- After entering the case, folders will appear on the right-hand side.
- Open the “Paper File” folder, which contains all documents in the case, including judicial decisions.
It is necessary to monitor the arrival of the mail at the court and wait until the end of the business day following its arrival, in order for the case to be opened. Thereafter, the progress of the processing of the application can be tracked in Net HaMishpat in the following ways:
Applicants not represented by an attorney:
- If an email address was provided in the application, update notifications from the court will be sent to that address.
- To read the notifications, click on the link included in the message, which will lead to Net HaMishpat. Access must be made using the national identification system.
- Next to the ID number, an envelope icon will appear; clicking on it will open messages from the court.
- In this manner, the court will notify when the case is opened and will send the case number.
- An additional way to check whether the case has been opened on the Net HaMishpat website, after logging in using national identification, is by clicking on the “Case Search” tab and selecting “My Cases”.
- A date range for the search should be selected. A list will be displayed, from which the relevant case can be chosen. Clicking on the case number will allow review of the case and verification of whether a decision has been issued.
Attorney:
- An attorney may check the status of the case processing in Net HaMishpat via the “Case Search” tab and selecting “My Cases”.
- The relevant court and a range of opening dates must be selected.
- If the case has been opened, the case number will appear, and the attorney may click on the number to enter the case.
- It is important to note that in the top left corner of the website, the bar license number (and not the ID number) must be displayed in order to view the cases in which the attorney represents a party.
