Declaration Concerning a Foreign Agricultural Worker who Stopped Working for his Agricultural Sector Employer

As set out in the Procedure for Recruiting Foreign Workers in the Agricultural Sector (9.3.0007), farmer-employers must notify the Agriculture Dept. of PIBA of foreign workers whose work for them ended, within 7 days following the end of the employment.   

Who is required to submit the report

• Agricultural employers who have a permit to employ foreign workers in the agricultural sector, for the relevant calendar year.
• Private Recruitment Agencies for the Agricultural Sector (representing farmers).

What to attach to the report

• A statement signed by the farmer-employer and the private recruitment agency representing them, regarding the end of the employment of foreign workers.
• Three last pay slips of the farmer regarding the foreign worker whose work ended.
• Excel file with details of the foreign worker whose work ended.

How to file the report

1. Employers or Recruitment Agencies must complete and attach the following forms:
   
   
   • Statement of termination of employment.
   • Excel file with employee details.
2. Attach the three last pay slips of the relevant foreign worker.
3. Send the above-mentioned documents by e-mail to one of the offices of the Agriculture Department of PIBA according to the relevant email address as follows:

What next

1. The Agriculture Department of PIBA will check the notification. If any corrections are required, the submitters will be informed by return e-mail.
2. If the documents and file appear correct, they will be entered into the computerized system and the farmer-employer will receive confirmation of the report.
3. The farmers' representative agency will also receive an e-mail indicating that the report concerning foreign workers whose employment was ended without prior notice been updated in the PIBA system.
