Aliyah Department

The Aliyah Department works to create and strengthen motivation for Aliyah to Israel, marketing absorption opportunities in Israel, and providing assistance in preparation for Aliyah. Additionally, the department is responsible for encouraging the return of Israelis residing abroad, maintaining contact with them, and their absorption upon return to the country.

The department serves as the first address for Aliyah candidates and returning residents in the Aliyah and return process, aiming to maximize the personal and family potential of immigrants and returning residents and increase their chances of independent integration into Israeli society through significant pre-Aliyah steps and actions and preparation for Aliyah and return to Israel.

The department develops programs and services tailored to the target population, leads and participates in professional forums in Aliyah fields, and formulates strategic approaches for handling Aliyah candidates and returning residents.

Areas of Activity:

• Personalized guidance and counseling abroad during pre-Aliyah and through optimal absorption in Israel through an innovative immigrant accompaniment system operating both abroad and in Israel to enable continuity of care from interest in Aliyah through integration into Israeli society.
• Aliyah encouragement programs implemented through "Ofek Isareali" company supplement existing activities of national institutions in Aliyah encouragement. "Ofek Isareali" enables the implementation of ministry policies, primarily encouraging Aliyah in significant numbers.
• Support for Aliyah-encouraging organizations conducting activities worldwide and assisting in the Aliyah process. 
• Tzabar and "Itanu" - - Zionist educational programs for Jewish youth and young adults worldwide choosing to live in Israel, aiming to serve in the IDF and integrate into Israeli society.
• Returning Residents – The division is responsible for encouraging the return of Israelis abroad, maintaining contact, and absorption upon return
• "Israeli Homes" (HaBatim HaYisraeliim) - is a connection/contact, information and cultural center that operates in Hebrew for the benefit of the Israeli community residing abroad. HaBatim HaYisraeliim runs in cooperation with Israeli consulates abroad and is in contact with Israeli missions around the world and provides the missions with guidance regarding the care of Israelis at the individual level. Currently, 10 HaBatim HaYisraeliim operate around the world - 6 in North America and 3 in Europe.
• Documentation and Eligibility - Responsible for determining eligibility status and period for various categories of immigrants and returning minors
