About
The Electricians Licensure Department (the "Unit") is the administrative body through which the Administration acts to grant licenses for electrical work (the "Administration"), which is the sole authority in the State of Israel to grant licenses to engage in electrical work of any type and level, and to reject electrical licenses and/or limit them, according to The Electricity Law 5714-1954, and the Electricity Regulations (Licenses) 5745-1985 ("Electricity and Regulations Law").
The Department is responsible for the administrative and organizational handling of everything related to the Electricity and Regulations Law.
Main roles:
- Issuance of electricity licenses, renewal of electricity licenses
- Disqualification and/or limitation of electricity licenses
- Public reception and providing information regarding obtaining an electricity license in Israel
- Coordination of joint activity interfaces with the Ministry of Education, educational institutions, the Government Institute for Technological Training, legal bureau, government ministries, companies, business entities and various electricians' organizations
- Activation of professional committees for granting electricity licenses at senior positions
- Appointment of an Appeals Committee to the District Court in Jerusalem

Objectives, goals and vision
The Electricians Licensure Department envisions providing a professional, efficient and fast service to the entire public and to the public engaged in electrical work in particular, and works to integrate the electrician as quickly as possible into the labor market, while providing an appropriate license for work and providing information for the professional advancement of the electrician.
Also, the Department makes efforts to make the public in Israel aware of the importance of the electrician's profession with a valid license that is appropriate for the type of work.
Licensing of those engaged in electrical work is given according to studies and appropriate experience, to graduates of electricity studies in the State of Israel and/or abroad.
To obtain a new or higher-level electricity license - an application must be submitted through the website only..
Requests for a license received by mail or e-mail will not be processed.

Updating the license fee payment in the Government Payment Service is done automatically.
Updating the electrician's details in the query service / information about a licensed electrician is carried out within 24 hours from the date of payment of the license fee through the "Government Payment Service".
You can pay for up to 500 licenses in each payment order through the Government Payment Service.

It should be clarified and emphasized that no licenses and/or license renewals will be issued at the public reception.
