Application for exemption eligibility for returning residents
This service allows Israeli residents who have lived abroad for two years or more to file a claim with customs to enforce their rights.
Who can file the application
Any person who has returned to Israel after a stay of two years or more abroad and who wishes to open an eligibility file with customs in order to import household goods duty-free.
The service is free of charge
How to file the application
The applicant's ID number and email address must be entered.
What next
The system checks the applicant's data and confirms their eligibility automatically and immediately. If for any reason the response is negative, the applicant should contact the personal imports department of his/her closest customs office to further process the application.
