Apply for confirmation of accrued Sea Time (Grade 60)
If you hold a grade 30 skipper’s license and sailed as a crew member on an international voyage for 4 consecutive days or 8 days in total you can apply online for confirmation of your accrued sea time for grade 60. The service is free.
Who can apply
You:
- hold a grade 30 sailing certificate to operate a boat in coastal waters
- have acted as a crew member on a boat that sailed from one country to another over 8 days in total or at least 4 consecutive days
- Submission of 8 days of sailing and fulfillment of all requirements.
Partial submission, i.e. fulfillment of some of the requirements or part of the total days, will not be examined.
Voyages on ships will not be recognized.
The Division for Small Vessels and Mariners will recognize up to 4 of the 8 days performed in the pre-certification period, under the following conditions:
- you successfully passed at least 2 theory exams
- one of the exams is the ‘C’ seafaring exam or the coastal navigation exam
How to apply
Print and Complete the application for confirmation of accrued sea time, attaching photos of the pages in your passport with exit and entry dates recording when you sailed

What happens next
- After processing, you can check the status of your request via phone: 04-8632234,
Monday, Wednesday between 08:00 and 13:00 - If approved, your seniority certificate will be automatically updated in the Ministry of Transport database.
- If your application is denied, you’ll need to apply again
