An application for the establishment or modification of a radio direction and range detecting system (RADAR) on land
This service makes it possible to submit an application for a license, to set up a radio direction and range detecting system (RADAR) on land. You can also apply for a change or a cancellation of an existing license.
Who can submit an application
- A company
- An authorized trader
What must be attached to the application
- A photocopy of the customer's identity card or private company certificate (company registration certificate).
- Technical specifications.
- The approval of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), that the (RADAR) system power supply produces an electric field exceeding 100 V/m.
- Approval of the Commissioner of Security at the Ministry of Defense for the operation of the (RADAR) system.
The service is provided free of charge
How to Submit the Application
- The application form for setting up the (RADAR) system on land must be printed and filled out.
- The required documents must be attached.
- The application and the documents (preferably printed and not handwritten) are to be dispatched by e-mail to the following address: [email protected]
A foreign company that wishes to demonstrate the operation of the (RADAR) system, will act to obtain a trial and demonstration license.
Continuation of the Handling of the Application
- A request for payment will be dispatched to the applicants.
- The license will be dispatched to applicants by snail mail.
- The following details will be recorded in the (RADAR) system license that will be issued:
- Terms and conditions of the operation of the system.
- The physical location of the operation of the system.
- Transmission rate.
- Scan rate.
- Transmission sector.
- Transmission power.
- Beam elevation.
- Operating frequency.
- Transmission band width.
The validity of the license that will be granted will be in accordance with the Wireless Telegraph Ordinance [New Version], 5732 - 1972.
Regarding (RADAR) systems in maritime service or in aviation service, including equipment on aircraft or sailing vessels – an application must be submitted on the forms designated for such.

Change of Cancellation of the License
License holders who wish to update or cancel their license will submit the following documents:
- Application form (preferably printed), after filling in the required details.
- Declaration form (preferably printed), after filling in the required details.
Additional relevant documents such as:
- Statement to the police regrading theft.
- Affidavit made before an attorney regarding a loss.
- A declaration and certificate of sale to a third party, etc.
