Application for registration of software intended for a computerized accounting management system
This service allows you to submit an online application to register computerized accounting management software with the Tax Authority's software registry. You can apply to register new software, add a new version to registered software.
Who must apply for a software registration
Under the law, manufacturers of computerized accounting system management software intended for sale, lease, or use by third parties (including free use) must submit an application and are required to register in accordance with the law.
An application can also be submitted through a representative.
What to add
- Simulator output indicating the accuracy of the file check in a uniform file structure that has been checked.
- Output printed in accordance with section 2.6 of the instructions for producing files in a uniform structure.
- Output printed in accordance with Appendix 4 (section 5.4) of the instructions for producing files in a uniform structure.
Prerequisites for digital registration
A software company, which is a corporation, is required to register its company information and grant digital authorization to users who will act on its behalf, via the authorization system for digital operations available in the personal area of the tax authority website:
- A software company belonging to one self-employed person, is not required to register its company information, but may grant digital authorization to another person on his behalf.
- When selecting authorization for digital operations, the “Request for registration of accounting software” box must be checked.
The service is free of charge.
Before submitting the application
Please read carefully and follow the instructions for preparing your application file:
- We recommend that you contact an accounting expert (tax advisor or certified public accountant) and an information systems expert to verify that the software complies with legal requirements.
- To register computerized accounting management software, it is mandatory to integrate a module that can generate files in a uniform format, in accordance with the instructions for generating files in a uniform format.
Stages to follow in order to implement this directive:
- The registration application must include a statement specifying that this module is included in the software.
- A simulator has been made available to software publishers that enables initial verification of file integrity- the verification must be performed in the simulator, and the summary report produced by the simulator, indicating that the verification is valid, must be attached to the application.
How to file the application
The digital software registration application form must be filled online, attached to the required documents, and submitted.
What next
- In order to receive updates from the tax authority, it is recommended that you subscribe to the mailing list.
- Any further communication with the software publisher regarding specific software issues will be conducted via the email address of the contact person listed in the system.
- Once the application has been processed and approved, the registration certificate will be sent to the applicant's email address.
- Processing time: a response will be sent within 90 days following the submission of the application. However, when the application includes all the required documents- the processing time is usually shorter.
