Simulator – Calculator for calculating property purchase tax
This service enables individuals to use the calculator for calculating property purchase tax, which is legally due from purchasers when they buy a property right.
What is a property purchase tax calculator
The property purchase tax calculator enables you to get the amount of purchase tax in NIS you must pay when purchasing a property.
How to use the calculator
- After entering the calculator, purchase data must be entered for the calculation of taxes, in accordance with the provisions of the Real Estate Tax Law effective on the day of purchase:
- Property type
- Calculation (if you are eligible to any kind of discount).
- Transaction value.
- After entering the information in the calculator and clicking the calculate button, you will receive the amount of purchase tax you are required to pay for the transaction.
In accordance with the provisions of Sections 9(c1c)(3) of the Law, a purchaser of a single residential apartment (in accordance with the definitions in the Law) from 16.1.25 to 15.1.28 will be charged a purchase tax according to the brackets below:
- On the part of the value up to 1,978,745 NIS – no tax will be paid
- On the part of the value exceeding 1,978,745 NIS and up to 2,347,040 NIS – 3.5%
- On the part of the value exceeding 2,347,040 NIS and up to 6,055,070 NIS – 5%
- On the part of the value exceeding 6,055,070 NIS and up to 20,183,565 NIS – 8%
- On the portion of the value exceeding 20,183,565 NIS – 10%
