Food Product Inquiries and Complaints
You can file a complaint with the Ministry of Health about problems in labeled and packaged food items. This service is provided in Hebrew only.

This form isn’t for complaints about restaurants, cafeterias, coffee shops, or similar places. For issues with food businesses, please contact our hotline.
Who can apply
You can submit a complaint regarding any of the following:
- Food products that are labelled and packaged.
- Prepackaged food-related illnesses.
- Foreign objects found in food.
- Spoiled food products, especially with bad flavor or foul smell.
- Incorrect labelling of a food product.
What you need
Relevant evidence must be attached to the complaint, such as:
- The product that is the subject of the complaint.
- An image of the product with the expiry date and batch number
- The invoice or receipt of purchase.
- Any other evidence related to the complaint.
This service is free of charge.
If you have the item that you complain about, deliver it in person to the district or local health bureau (HE) after you have filled out the form.
Further processing of the complaint
- The complaint will be sent for examination, and you will be informed of the nature of the process within 14 days.
- At the end of the process, you will be notified of the results of the complaint.
- The processing time is up to 6 months from the date the complaint is submitted. In cases of legal proceedings, the length of time may be longer.
