Request for a permit to employ children in performances or advertisements.
This service allows an individual or corporation to submit a request for permission to employ children under the age of 15 in performances, advertisements, photoshoots, and more.
Our office procedure stipulates that requests for permits to employ children must be submitted at least one week before the scheduled filming date. For complex productions requiring script or play review, the request must be submitted at least two weeks before the start of rehearsals or the performance.
We understand the nature of the work and the unique needs of this industry. However, to provide the best possible service, we request adherence to the specified timelines for submitting the application.
Who can submit a request for a permit
- Those seeking to employ children under the age of 15 in a staged performance must obtain a permit from the Ministry of Labor.
- If the children are employed through an intermediary company (agency), it must be ensured in advance that the agency has a permit from the Ministry of Labor to broker employment for each child separately.
Please note:
A permit is not required in the following cases:
- Documentary filming of any activity.
- Participation in quizzes.
- A one-time interview conducted randomly and without preparation.
When should the request be submitted
- The request must be submitted at least two weeks before the expected employment date (including rehearsals held before the performance).
- In the case of a complex production involving script or play review, the request must be submitted a month in advance.
What needs to be attached to the application
- A declaration of consent to receive criminal background information.
- This declaration must be attached when applying for the service for the first time. If a request has been submitted previously, there is no need to send the declaration form again.
- If the applicant is a corporation, the details of the managers or applicants, as registered with the Companies Registrar, must be provided along with their signatures on the application form for a criminal background check.
- The criminal background check is conducted with the police and takes time. Therefore, this part should be sent as soon as possible, even if the details of the children to be employed are not yet known.
- A doctor's approval (attached as part of the application form) – if a request has been submitted previously, the doctor's approval is valid for 6 months.
- The position of the administrators of the educational institution where the children study (attached as part of the application form) – the signature must be up to date for the period of employment.
Additional documents must be attached in the following cases:
- If the children are employed through an intermediary agency, a "Child Employment Mediation Permit" issued by the Ministry of Labor for each child must be attached.
For a public performance, the following must be attached:
- Five copies of the performance plan.
- The main points of the content and the script or play's text.
- It is required to specify the children's role.
- It is required to highlight the paragraphs directly related to their performance.

The service is provided free of charge.
