Application for the ex gratia payment of compensation for animals
This service allows farmers to apply for ex gratia compensation payments, for damages caused by a side effect of mandatory vaccination administered by the Veterinary Services or on behalf of the Veterinary Services.
The objective of the procedure Ex gratia Compensations of the Ministry of Agriculture for Animals is to encourage cooperation between the Veterinary Services and the agricultural public regarding vaccinations and preventing the spread of major important diseases in animals and humans. This is through the regulation of criteria for the ex gratia payment of compensation to the parties, for damages caused as a side effect of a vaccination administered by the Veterinary Services or on behalf of the Veterinary Services.
Who can apply for compensation
Farmers, breeders of animals that died after being vaccinated, and who are applying to receive financial compensation for them, in an ex gratia compensation process.
What should be attached to the application
- Account holding authorization - authorization of keeping an account from the bank.
- Photocopy of a check.
- Authorization of withholding tax at source.
- Authorization of keeping Book of Account (for applicants who keep books of account).
- Form for determining the tax rate for compensation from the Tax Authority (for applicants who do not keep books of account).
- Postmortem results or a veterinarian's professional considered opinion.
- Authorization of the removal of the carcass to a licensed cremation site.
- Cattle registration certificate (for applicants regarding cattle).
