The "MASLUL" system – a “Status System for Licenses and Approvals for Importers” between the customs and competent authorities
The "MASLUL" system allows all importers, exporters and customs agents to submit an online application form for licenses and approvals from competent authorities and to be updated at any time on the status of the processing of the applications.
The "MASLUL" system allows all importers, exporters and customs agents to submit an online application form for licenses and approvals from competent authorities and to be updated at any time on the status of the processing of the applications, starting from the application stage up until the customs approval stage.
System users can view the status of the processes of all requests according to a variety of filtering options, be updated about general messages added by the ministries, and receive regular messages regarding the processing of their requests, all of that by using a strict security mechanism and using a smart card for identification and log in.
The "Maslul" system is a joint venture of customs, e-government, the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the various competent authorities and is part of the realization of a shared vision to improve the government service provided to the general public in the area of foreign trade. The system streamlines work processes for both customs and users and allows for significant cost savings and shorter schedules for approvals and licenses.
The system is preparing itself for a gradual deployment of all existing types of applications and approvals. At this stage, the system contains permits and licenses from the Ministry of Agriculture and rural Development, the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety, and the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Approvals from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Israel Antiquities Authority, the Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria, as well as approvals from the Standard Institution of Israel and testing laboratories."
