Get partial exemption from Freedom of Information fees for non-profits and public benefit companies
Non-profits and public benefit companies that work for a public purpose, can apply for partial exemption from Freedom of Information fees.
According to the Freedom of Information (Fees) Regulations, 1999 non-profit organizations that work for a public purpose as defined in the Income Tax Ordinance, can apply for a partial exemption from Freedom of Information application fees that include:
- exemption from the application fee
- 4 additional handling hours
The Government Freedom of Information Unit publishes the list of non-profits that have applied and been found eligible to receive the exemption from parts of the freedom of information fees, subject to presenting a valid proper management certificate, when applying.
Non-profit and public benefit companies that:
- act for a public purpose.
- have a valid proper management certificate
Attach:
- the association (amuta) registration certificate
- an official and current goals document
- a valid proper management approval (for the year application year)
