Extending an Importer Registration Certificate (for Non-Animal-Based Food)
This service allows for importers who carry an importer registration certificate, which is a necessary and preliminary condition for the import of food to Israel, to apply for the extension of their certificate.

Who can file the application?
- Food importers who carry an importer registration certificate and who wish to extend it.
- Only carriers of a smart card.
- Importers who are registered to the closed zone portal.
What documents should be attached to the application?
- Copy of the importer registration certificate, for which an extension is required.
The service is provided free of charge.
How do I file the application?
- Log in to the National Food Services portal – closed zone only.
- Complete the application form for the extension of an importer registration certificate.
- Attach the required documents and send.
- Applications can be filed starting from 90 days before the certificate's expiration date.
- If the warehouse or warehouses listed in the importer registration certificate are no longer valid, then the importer registration certificate itself loses its validity.
Application further processing
- If the form has been completed properly, and all of the required documents have been attached as required, an extended importer registration certificate will be issued within 10 business days from the date on which the application has been received.
- If the application has been returned to sender for supplements, the extended certificate will be issued within 10 business days from the date on which the supplemented application has been received.
