Application for Registration in the Registry of Distributors Authorized to Convey Food from the Palestinian Authority
This service allows you to submit an application for registration in the registry of distributors authorized to convey food from the Palestinian Authority, or for renewal of the registration.
This service sets forth the regulations of food conveyance from the Palestinian Authority (the region) to Israel. The Protection of Public Health (Food) Law, 2015, establishes that food conveyance to Israel can only be performed by distributors from the region who hold a valid registration certificate from the Ministry of Health National Food Services.
Who may apply?
- Food distributors who are Israeli residents or citizens
- Distributors that are registered as an Israeli corporation.
Conditions for registration in the registry of distributors
- Distributors must be Israeli residents or citizens and registered as an Israeli corporation.
- Food must be stored in licensed warehouses in the state of Israel.
- Food must be purchased from manufacturers holding valid permits from the Palestinian Authority. For fruits and vegetables, manufacturers must hold a valid permit from an agriculture coordination officer in the Civil Administration.
- The National Food Services requires the following permits:
- Declaration of conveyance of food classified as regular food.
- A special preliminary permit for conveyance of food classified as sensitive foods.
- An obligation to operate recall procedures, in cases of food irregularities that pose a potential risk to public health.
- An obligation to maintain documentation and certifications:
- Obtained from food manufacturers.
- Certifications and permits obtained from the National Food Services or crossing supervisors.
How to submit the application
The following applications can be submitted:
- Registration in the registry of distributors authorized to convey food from the region in accordance with Section 146 of the law.
- Renewal of the registration in the registry of distributors.
- Complete the online application on the National Food Services Portal and sign it.
- Attach all the required documentation and submit.
