How to correct points
If the "accumulation period" has passed (usually two years), the count will start again, but the previous points will still remain in the driver's name and will never be deleted.
Only the Israel Police can expunge points from the record.
The options for correcting points that have been accumulated varies depending on the number of points and start at 12 points and above.
The Ministry of Transportation, through licensed franchisees, offers defensive driving courses for drivers who have accumulated demerit points for traffic violations, as well as refresher courses for new drivers.
