Authenticate an Israeli doctor's signature for use of medical documents abroad
If you need to submit Israeli medical documents abroad, you may need to get them authenticated to prove that the Israeli doctor is licensed to practice in Israel. Apply at the local health bureau, according to your registered address (on your ID slip).
You may need to get medical documents authenticated for use abroad. It's a common requirement for things like applying for foreign citizenship, adoption, and registration of sex-change.
To get medical documents authenticated:
- call your local health bureau (according to your registered address on your ID) to set an appointment
- you can only apply at your local health bureau
- some health bureaus accept applications by post. You can call them to find out
- take all the documents that you need authenticated to the health bureau. The documents must:
- be signed by the doctor
- include the doctor's Israeli medical license number
A licensed Ministry of Foreign Affairs doctor will review and sign your documents to authenticate them.
