Searching the Database of Cosmetics Marketed in Israel
This service lets you search the Cosmetics Information Database to check whether a cosmetic is licensed for sale in Israel or has a submitted marketing notification.
Before You Start
The Ministry of Health publishes a database of cosmetics that are licensed for sale in Israel. The database is updated regularly and allows you to check whether a specific cosmetic has been approved for marketing in the country.
Which Cosmetics Are Marketed in Israel
With the cosmetics reform effective from April 1, 2023, cosmetics can be registered in Israel in two ways:
- Cosmetic License – Previously issued by the Ministry of Health after the cosmetic was reviewed by the Cosmetics Department (this service ended on April 12, 2025).
- Notification of Cosmetic Marketing – Through the Cosmetics Portal, manufacturers or importers notify the Ministry of Health via a official representative of their intention to market a cosmetic in Israel.
These cosmetics are listed in the Israeli Cosmetics Database.
