Use this service to request a birth certificate for persons born in Israel.You can request a bilingual certificate in Hebrew and English.
Who can request a birth certificate
You can request a birth certificate for yourself, a spouse, your children or your parents.
If you are an 'interested party', you can request a birth certificate on behalf of someone who is not a family member by applying in person at a Population and Immigration Authority office and submitting a letter of explanation with you application.
What you need
The ID number of the person for whom the application is being made.
The original personal details, as recorded at the time of birth, of the person for whom the application is being made.
The service is provided free of charge.
How to apply
Complete and submit the Birth certificate request form online.
The certificate will be issued within 5 days and will be posted to your address as registered in the population registry.
Notes
You can request bi-lingual birth certificates in Hebrew and English.
This service and forms are provided in Hebrew and English, but you can only enter data in Hebrew. If you don't speak Hebrew, seeking assistance from a Hebrew speaker is recommended.

How can I issue digitally signed birth certificate
You can download a digitally signed birth certificate through the government's online personal area.
To enter the personal area, you must register to the Government identification system.
Under section “documents” you will find your digitally signed birth certificate as well the birth certificates of your parents and children, that you can download to your computer or cell phone.
If you don't want to submit the form online, you can also complete the online Birth certificate request form and print it, or print the form and complete it by hand.
After completing the form submit it in one of the following ways:
Self-service stands
You can submit the application at one of the self-service stands that can be found in the Population and Immigration Authority offices.
Service boxes
You can place the printed application in the service box, found next to the self-service stands in the authority offices during office work hours, or outside the authority offices, 24 hours.
Office
You can submit the application in person at your local Population and Immigration Authority offices.
Post
You can submit the application by post to: The National Center for Service and Information, 42 Agripas Street, Jerusalem, Israel.
Fax
You can submit the application by fax to 02-6294755.
Online
You can complete and submit the Birth certificate application form online.
