Apply to be recognized as a scientist - for new immigrants and returning citizens

Who can apply

New immigrants, returning citizens, or persons in pre-Aliyah process who are eligible Israeli citizenship, whose area of expertise is the sciences.

What you need

• Personal details incuding: Academic education, areas of expertise and professional experience.
• Degree or diploma certificate of your highest level of education.
• Resume.
• Israel Ministry of Education authorization of degree equivalence (for diplomas or degrees attained abroad).
• In order to receive a Ministry of Education degree equivalence authorization you must submit an Accreditation of foreign academic degrees and diplomas request.

How to apply

Complete and submit the online Recognition as a scientist request form for, together with the required documents. If you do not have all the required documents, you can start filling in the form and add the documents later. For assistance in completing the form, you can contact The Center for Integration in Science.

Notes

• If you are an Israeli citizen, currently living abroad and intending to make Aliyah, you must first complete the Returning citizen registration form.
• If you are not an Israeli citizen, you must first contact the Jewish Agency or another organization based in your country that promotes Aliyah, in order to assess you eligibility for Israeli citizenship and set a date for making Aliyah.
