Request for Information and Advice on Equality for Disabled Persons
This service allows applicants to receive information and advice on different matters relating to equality for people with disabilities.
The service answers different questions regarding different aspects of life that are related to people with disabilities, their discrimination as a result of their disability and the lack of accessibility, such as the following.
Accessibility issues
- Accessibility of buildings: Commercial buildings, government buildings, buildings of associations, residential buildings and shelters.
- Accessibility of infrastructure and the environment: Streets, roads, sidewalks, natural sites, parks, beaches, swimming pools and cemeteries.
- Accessibility in education: Schools, kindergartens, vocational training and higher education.
- Accessibility of summer camps.
- Accessibility of health institutions: Hospitals and clinics.
- Accessibility of public transport: City and intercity buses, trains, aviation, airports and ports.
- Accessibility of services: Services provided at public places, information, internet, telephone and emergency services.
- Accessibility of courts and police investigations.
- Parking for people with disabilities: Parking tags and parking spaces.
- Accessibility during recreational and leisure activities: Cultural activities, events and conferences.
Helping people with disabilities realize their rights, and preventing discrimination against people with disabilities in different life areas
- Employment: Integration in employment, accommodations, appropriate representation, affirmative action, the Laron Law, employment officers.
- Education: Student transport, placement committees, early registration for schools, personal accommodations for students and parents.
- Housing: Community housing, public housing, institutional housing or long-term care housing, life insurance for a mortgage.
- Personal assistance: Sick pay for an employee who is a parent of a disabled person.
- Public places: Entrance to a place open for the public.
- Public services: Receipt of service in a place open to the public.
- Insurance: Equality in insurance contracts, mortgage life insurance.
- National Insurance (Social security).
- Mental health: Including restraints and isolation.
- Legal capacity: Guardianship alternatives, support of decision-making processes.

It is recommended to attach any document that is relevant to the application, so that we will be able to answer your question optimally. For example, documents attesting to the existence of a disability, photos, architectural plans and more.

- You will receive a message with the contact details of the person from the commission who will handle your request.
- For consultation requests: The caseworker will contact you within 10 business days.
- If your request requires consultation with external parties, the handling time will be 75 business days.
- For requests for information: Our response will be given orally or in writing within 2 working days, according to your request.
- You can check the status of your request through the contact methods mentioned or through the caseworker directly.
