Application for Permit to Import Registered Medical Products
This service allows registration holders or pharmacists in charge who are interested in importing registered medical products to submit an online application for a permit to import registered products.
Any registered drug for import requires an import permit from the Ministry of Health.
Who can apply for a registered medical product import permit?
- Registration holders.
- Pharmacists in charge.
Required application materials
- Copy of the medical product registration permit.
- Permit to import from the manufacturer or importer.
- Power of attorney from the registration holders.
- Declaration of a pharmacist in charge regarding a registered medical product (Hebrew).
- List of all required medical products.
The service is free of charge
How to submit the application?
- Completing the application requires a valid smart card.
- Fill out the Application Form for Issuing Import Permits for Registered Medical Products and submit it online along with all required documents.
Fill out the application form for issuing unregistered medical products under regulation 29 and submit online along with the required documents.
- You can only submit requests using a computer, not a mobile device.
- The system may open on a mobile device, but it hasn't been designed for that, so it might not work correctly.
- Before using the MASLUL+ system, you need to verify your identity with the national identification system.
- You can verify your identity with a smart card or a username and password.
Before submitting the application, check the following details:
- Is the drug registered in Israel in the Drug Registry (Hebrew)?
- Does this drug have a substitute in Israel? For this information, contact in writing the Pharmacovigilance and Drug Information Department at 39 Yirmiyahu St., POB 1176, Jerusalem 9101002.
Further processing
- If you are required to provide additional documents, you will be notified by email or SMS.
- To provide additional details, submit a new online application.
- Application processing time: 21 business days.
- If the documents are found to be in order:
- An import permit will be sent to customs.
- The importers will receive a notification by email or SMS from the MASLUL+ system.
Regarding importing registered medicines, the permit is valid for five years according to the power of attorney (as long as the product is within its expiration date) and applies to all registered medicines of the marketing authorization holder.
