About
The department is responsible for planning and forming strategy and policy for the long term, as well as for work plans in the Ministry of Economy in aspects of planning, tracking, and execution.
The department's roles:
Development, implementation and implementation of organizational methodology for formulating strategic planning processes and implementation of countries based on various parameters: national status comments, surveys and studies, defining organizational goals and performance objectives, defining output metrics and more.
- Managing the ministry's annual and multi-year work plan and its units.
- Managing the ministry's knowledge, information and data set by collecting, maintaining, updating and creating a collaborative organizational culture.
- Managing the ministry's research system while building an in-depth research infrastructure that supports a data-based policy planning process.
- Leading, initializing, and synchronizing of interfaces at the ministry and inter-ministry level.
- Leading professional research committees with the goal of including the public and various stakeholders in policy shaping, on various policies such as: implementing industry-leading production, regulatory reclamation, and more.
- Formulation and writing of ministry-wide programs, documents and policy products such as cost-cutting programs, the Northern Economic and Social Development Program and more.
- Promoting and assimilating evaluation processes, examining the effectiveness of ministry plans, and examining existing regulatory frameworks in the various economic sectors.
- Managing the process of formulating the instructions of the Director General and work procedures of the ministry, starting with aiding professional departments in formulating the instruction up until the instruction's publication and distribution.
- Managing and monitoring the implementation of executive government decisions pertaining to the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
