Foreign Press Department

The GPO is responsible for the official relations with the Foreign Press community on behalf of the Israeli Government. The multi-lingual GPO staff provides service in Arabic, English, French, Russian and Spanish. However, the GPO is not replacing the role of the government spokespersons and is not authorised to provide comments and responses to the press.

We provide ongoing service to foreign journalists including issuing press/GPO credentials, assistance with permits, work visas and with a smooth entry into Israel, professional tours, briefings and press conferences and providing regularly various professional updated information - all under its main goal to enable a free and professional coverage of the State of Israel while improving its image in the world media. The GPO also monitors and collects, on a daily basis, stories in the foreign press about the State of Israel and sends the survey to the relevant government offices.
 

The GPO is not authorized to provide journalists with comments or responses of any subject other than those directly related to the operation of the press itself in Israel.
