Tenders and contracts

This department is responsible for providing services related to tenders for all employees in both of the ministries and for those responsible for procurement in particular.  The fields of responsibility include:

• Coordinating the work of the tenders committee and its decisions.
• Coordinating the work of the exemption committees and publicizing their decisions.
• Coordinating the Ministry’s tenders together with the tenders/ procurement committee (from the time of the preliminary characterization report in the tenders committee until the response letters are issued to the those who participated in the tender).
• Coordinating the requests to the various committees at the Accountant General for authorization of contracts that are not under the authority of the Ministry’s committees. 
• Application of the Mandatory Tenders Law and directives on regulation, finance and economy and their application to the Ministry’s procurement activities.
