About
The Courts Security Guard was established in 1995 as the state security body for the courts of the Judicial Authority in Israel.
The Courts Security Guard personnel number about 800 security guards, that are present at all the courts, including state investigative committees, and enable the proper undertakings of the judicial and legal proceedings in the State of Israel.
The Court Security Guard personnel are responsible for maintaining the public order in the courts and the protection of the judges, the court administration employees and the visitors of the courts.
The Court Security Guard personnel function in order to prevent disturbances and deter hostile elements from carrying out sabotage and / or criminal activities in the courts, by virtue of the powers of detention and arrest granted to them in the premises of the courts.
The Court Security Guard personnel are veterans of combat units and graduates of command courses in the IDF, who combine work in shifts, with academic or other studies, in a youthful and qualitative environment, which form a cohesive social community.
The Court Security Guard personnel are employed as employees of the courts system during their studies and enjoy social benefits and job security.
Graduates of the Court Security Guard serve as a high-quality reserve pool for the intelligence community and for many employers in the economy.
The Court Security Guard lists five main areas of responsibility. Below are further details and elaboration with regard to each of those areas:
- The purpose, principles and goals of the Court Security Guard is to enable the proper undertakings of the judicial order in the State of Israel, and to respond to the needs of the system of the Judicial Authority. The Court Security Guard has four main objectives and its concept of management is based on a number of basic principles.
- The Guard's treaty and rules of operation that are derived thereof, constitute a code of ethics for the Court Security Guard.
According to this treaty, the members of the Court Security Guard will act and also educate and inspect themselves while performing their tasks.
- Districts (Hebrew)- The unit of the Court Security Guard operates in several districts allocated all over the country. Here is a table containing the names of the administrative officers and district security officers and the districts in which they operate and their e-mail addresses.
- The security school of the Court Security Guard, educates and trains the members of the Court Security Guard in their operations. It equips the members of the Court Security Guard with security and combat skills adapted to the nature of the civilian environment in which the members of the Court Security Guard are operating.
- The recruitment process for the Guard - the members of the Court Security Guard are employed as employees of the Judicial Authority, and they combine shift work, in a youthful and qualitative environment with academic or other studies. We invite you to join the ranks of the Court Security Guard. The recruitment process includes the submission of an application, an assessment center, going through an admissions committee and an 8-day education and training course at the academy of the Courts Guard Security.
