Law and Justice

This office is responsible for registering companies licensed to operate in the region of Judea and Samaria through the Registrar of Companies. Responsibilities of the office include handling all legal aspects related to the establishment of companies, their operations, and termination of operations.

In addition, the office is responsible for the recognition of judicial decisions made outside the area, verification of signatures, and provision of professional opinions regarding the issuance of entry permits for Palestinians seeking to enter Israel for legal purposes. 

Areas of Responsibility and Services

• In regard to companies:

  • Handling of company registration requests including examination of application documents (memorandum of association, company bylaws, letter of undertaking, etc.) authenticated by a licensed notary

  • Handling of requests for company extracts

  • Handling of requests for company name changes

  • Approval of transfers/sales of company shares 

  • Approval of requests to update company details

  • Approval of requests to change company management

  • Approval of requests for company closure

  • Issuance of verified official company documents and certificates

• Recognition of court rulings issued outside the area as applicable to the area:  recognition of judicial decisions rendered outside the Judea and Samaria area, given they do not contradict public policy or no special reasons exist for refusing recognition
• Validation of signatures and stamps: authorization of signatures and stamps that appear on official documents issued outside of the region, following examination
• The staff officer heading the Law and Justice Office has the authority, in coordination with the authorities enforcing writs of execution and the Law Enforcement and Collection Authority, to prevent Palestinian residents from entering Israel due to debts owed
