About
Internal auditing is an independent evaluation process that takes place within the organization, for the purpose of examining and evaluating the organization's activities towards achieving its goals and objectives, and for checking the propriety of its activities.
The Ministry's Senior Internal Auditing Division prepares internal audit reports and handles public complaints. The Ministry Division operates according to the Internal Audit Law of 1992.
Responsibilities
The Division undertakes internal audits and prepares reports in accordance with the annual work plan, which is derived from the multi-year work plan. The Division also undertakes internal audits of additional areas as requested by the Director General.
The Division monitors the correction of deficiencies indicated in the reports of the State Comptroller and the Internal Auditor's reports.
The Division processes and provides responses to public complaints in areas under the Ministry's responsibility that are received by the Prime Minister's office, the President's Bureau, Members of Knesset, the State Comptroller, organizations, attorneys, and others.
The Senior Internal Auditing Division was in charge of handling the public complaints until 1.3.23, and the reports which were published are henceforth presented.
