Internal Policy Division
About
The Domestic Policy Division coordinates the treatment of domestic issues related to the national security of the State of Israel.
The Division's responsibilities:
- Monitoring domestic trends and processes that pertain to the national security of the State of Israel.
- Coordinating the work at the national and systemic-strategic level on issues that affect national security.
- Consolidating work on security and political aspects that concern minorities in Israel.
- Formulating policy recommendations for the political echelon in preparation for periods of uncertainty and following notable events.
- Preparing discussions for the Ministerial Committee on National Security (the Cabinet) on issues concerning the Division's activities, including mapping out alternatives and formulating recommendations for members of the Cabinet.
- Maintaining regular ties with security forces, government ministries, intelligence agencies and other civil organizations relevant to the Division's fields of activity.
- Monitoring the implementation of decisions made by the Cabinet on issues pertaining to the Division.
- Preparing annual situation assessment for the political echelon on issues relating to domestic policy.
- Participating in cross-departmental projects in the National Security Council.
- Assisting the National Security Advisor and Head of the National Security Council in all domestic policy matters.
